Several celebrities attended the premiere of Eddie Murphy’s latest comedy, “The Pickup,” which was held at the Regal LA Live in Los Angeles. Vivica A. Fox, Aldis Hodge, Da’vine Joy Randolph and Sugar Ray Leonard were just some of the many stars who came to check out the action-comedy.

In the film, Murphy plays an armored truck driver who along with his partner Travis (Pete Davidson), are ambushed by ruthless criminals led by a savvy mastermind called Zoe (Keke Palmer).

Directed by Tim Story, who is known for movies “Think Like a Man” “Barbershop” and “Ride Along,” the film also stars Eva Longoria who plays Murphy’s wife.

“It reminds me of the movies of the ‘80s. The buddy movie comedy,” Murphy told the press. “The script was solid. This thing was like 90% there when I read it for the first time and then we got Tim [director] and it came together really well.”

“The Pickup” releases in U.S. theatres August 6.
